He brings extensive board experience in the financial services sector, including the Boards of the Queensland Residential Tenancies Authority (Chair), Sunsuper (including a period as chair), and the Queensland Investment Corporation (Chair of the Risk Committee). He is currently Chair of Teachers Union Health - a not-for-profit health insurer. John has considerable experience in investment performance, governance, risk, financial sustainability and organisational leadership.

Natalie Previtera
Chief Executive Officer
Natalie is the Chief Executive Officer of NGS Super. With a career grounded in governance, legal, and strategic leadership, she brings a forward-thinking and purpose-driven approach to superannuation. Natalie steers the Fund through a dynamic regulatory landscape, ensuring operational excellence and delivering long-term value to members. She also served as Chief Risk and Governance Officer at NGS Super, sharing her deep institutional knowledge and strong track record in executive oversight and regulatory engagement. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and ability to drive transformation while maintaining a strong member-first ethos. Prior to joining NGS Super in 2019, Natalie held senior governance roles at AMP, Suncorp and Perpetual.
Natalie has a Graduate Diploma in applied Corporate Governance, is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, and is an admitted Solicitor in New South Wales. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, she brings her skills and expertise to lead the Fund and deliver sound outcomes for members.
Ben Facer
Chief Member Officer and Deputy CEO
As Chief Member Officer and Deputy CEO, Ben is responsible for the delivery of personalised services to members and employers of NGS Super, including information, help, education and advice services. He leads a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping our members achieve their best retirement.
Ben has over 30 years’ experience in superannuation, including advising employers on superannuation and retirement matters across Australia, Europe and Asia. Since joining NGS Super in 2017, he has also held executive roles covering Risk, Strategy, Finance and Transformation. Ben holds a Bachelor of Economics, is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was appointed to the Executive team on 29 August 2017.
Ben Squires
Chief Investment Officer
As Chief Investment Officer, Ben is responsible for formulating both short and long-term investment strategies, recommending investments, overseeing our team of investment professionals, and managing external asset consultants.
After working for MLC as an Investment Analyst, Ben joined the NGS Super Investments team in 2008 and was appointed to the Executive team on 12 March 2018. Ben holds a Bachelor of Business with Majors in Accounting and Finance, as well as a Master of Applied Finance.
Christopher McManamon
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Chris is responsible for the strategic delivery of operations through administration, insurance, helplines and service provider management. He brings more than 25 years’ experience across operations management, change leadership, process improvement and service, retention and growth, particularly in the superannuation space. He holds a Bachelor of Business. Chris was appointed to the Executive team on 1 July 2020.
Philippa Minney
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Philippa is responsible for leading several core enterprise functions that drive the strategic, financial, and operational success of NGS Super, enabling effective decision-making, strong governance, and delivering enterprise-wide transformation. Philippa has over 25 years of corporate experience in financial services and a demonstrated track record in leading Finance, Risk and Compliance functions.
Philippa is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma of Accounting, and is an affiliate of the Australia Institute of Company Directors. She held the position of Chief Risk Officer for two years before taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer from 1 July 2025.
Sadeer Jan
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Sadeer is responsible for the Fund’s technology, data and information security strategies. His focus is to enable resilient, secure, and future-ready operations. Sadeer is a well-rounded technologist with more than 25 years of experience in technology transformations and insight-led decision-making.
He has built data-informed cultures across different sectors in Australia and overseas, including the United Nations, and holds a Bachelor of Electronics and Communications Engineering. Sadeer was appointed to the Executive team on 1 July 2024.
Luke Jansson
Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Luke is responsible for leading the development and implementation of people and culture strategies, frameworks, processes and practices that support and enable NGS Super’s strategic outcomes. He specialises in organisational design and HR capability uplift, using his skills and expertise to simplify complex issues and drive customer-focused and results-driven outcomes.
Luke has extensive experience in Human Resources across various roles. He has worked for organisations such as AFL NSW/ACT and holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce. Luke was appointed to the Executive team on 1 July 2025.
Darryn Studdert
Chief Advice Officer
As Chief Advice Officer, Darryn is responsible for the delivery of the financial advice service at NGS Super. He is a Certified Financial Planner® and holds a Master of Financial Planning. With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Darryn has a broad depth of expertise across the financial advice sector and is passionate about the meaningful change that can be made to peoples’ lives through financial advice.
Charlie Daher
Financial Planner
Charlie is a Certified Financial Planner® with over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. Charlie joined NGS in December 2024, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the superannuation industry. Charlie’s expertise span across a range of areas including superannuation, wealth creation, retirement planning, personal insurances and debt management.
Charlie is based in Sydney and is dedicated to helping clients achieve financial freedom by educating them and alleviating the stress often associated with managing their finances.
Cheryl Haines

Cheryl is a Certified Financial Planner®, holding a Bachelor of Business (Accounting, Business Law and Taxation), a Diploma of Financial Planning and a Diploma of Superannuation Management. Cheryl joined NGS in July 2019, bringing with her over 17 years of financial planning experience. She specialises in wealth accumulation, superannuation and retirement planning strategies.
Cheryl’s passion lies in helping our members realise and achieve their financial and lifestyle goals. Cheryl is based in the Brisbane office and regularly services our regional Queensland members.
Trudy Jenkins
Financial Planner
Trudy is a Certified Financial Planner® with a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and over 20 years of experience in wealth management and financial services. Trudy is a specialist in superannuation, retirement planning and portfolio construction. Trudy joined NGS in July 2016. She is based in our Adelaide office and regularly visits Perth to service our Western Australian members.
Trudy enjoys educating our members and assisting them in removing the stress associated with planning retirement.
Maria Maganic

Maria is a Certified Financial Planner® holding a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance Major) and a Diploma of Financial Planning. As a Financial Planner for the past 14 years, Maria’s expertise is expansive, covering areas such as debt and risk management strategies, corporate superannuation, wealth creation and retirement planning. Based in Sydney, Maria services members locally as well as in Melbourne.
Toby Perkins
Financial Planner
Toby Perkins is a Certified Financial Planner® with over a decade of experience in the industry. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance), a Graduate Diploma in Global Wealth Management and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. Toby is based in Adelaide and specialises in superannuation, retirement planning and wealth accumulation.

Emerson Scott
Financial Planner
Emerson is a financial planner with over twenty years of experience in the industry. As a retirement planning specialist adviser who understands aged care, he is passionate about helping people learn about their finances and put them in a better position for retirement.
He is a Fellow Charted Financial Planner (FChFP), has a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, and has met the FASEA ongoing education requirements.
Vince Zappia
Financial Planner
Vince is a Certified Financial Planner®, holding a Master of Commerce (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Financial Planning. Vince joined NGS in September 2014. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Vince has extensive specialist knowledge in pre-retirement planning, retirement planning and risk management advice strategies. Vince is based in our Sydney office and regularly services our members in Canberra.

Ben Basedow
Head of Customer Engagement
Since joining the financial services sector in 1999, Ben has gained a wealth of experience within financial planning and managerial positions within Macquarie Bank and Consultum Financial Advisers. Holding a Bachelor of Management and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), Ben’s extensive knowledge enables him to provide quality advice to our members.
Ben joined the NGS Super team in June 2018. He enjoys being around thriving school learning environments and always looks forward to meeting NGS Super members. Ben sees the opportunity to educate our members in their wealth and retirement options as not only a passion but a privilege.
Long Nguyen
Super Specialist
Long joined NGS Super as a Super Specialist in January 2022. He strives to nurture engagement and provide a connection with super, so members and employers understand their opportunities and responsibilities. Long wants to help members and employers make the complex simple. Through educational seminars and one-on-one meetings, he helps members understand and simplify their super and helps employers navigate the superannuation obligations.
Long has extensive industry experience having previously worked at REST, ACSRF and Legal Super. He holds a degree in Communications, Cultural Studies and Economics, and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.
Jenny Huynh
Super Specialist
As a Super Specialist, Jenny works with members and employers to make super easy to understand. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience in superannuation to help members make better financial decisions and achieve their retirement goals.
Jenny brings 16 years of experience in financial services and wealth management and has worked at BT Financial Group, ANZ and CBA. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Finance and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.
Winston October
Super Specialist
Winston joined NGS as a Super Specialist in 2024. With extensive experience in the finance sector, including smartMonday, NAB and Colonial First State, he has worked across a range of financial services, including superannuation. Combining his financial planning and relationship management skills, Winston is particularly passionate about demystifying super and making it accessible to everyone.
He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and a BA in Business studies.
Kate Graham
Super Specialist
Kate joined NGS Super in 2019 following the merger of QIEC Super and NGS Super. With a Diploma of Superannuation Management, Kate brings over 19 years' superannuation experience to her role at NGS.
Kate worked in administration for Corporate Benefits, consultancy for AON Employee Benefits and product management for QSuper before moving to QIEC Super in 2017. Kate is passionate about converting the complexities of super into understandable concepts and motivating NGS Super members to create wealth that will last their lifetime.
Tana Brink
Super Specialist
Tana joined NGS Super in 2012 following the UCSuper and NGS Super merger. Tana has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with a Diploma of Financial Services (Superannuation) and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
Tana finds fulfillment in guiding our members through the intricacies of superannuation and the options available to them. She is committed to helping both members and employers through financial education and empowerment.
Eric Black

As a Super Specialist, Eric delivers NGS's service offerings to employers, members, and key stakeholders.
With close to two decades in relationship management roles across the financial services sector, including banking, insurance and super, Eric brings a breadth of knowledge to the team. He is passionate about super and helping people achieve dignified and comfortable retirement outcomes.
Eric has a Masters in Ageing, Diploma in Insurance Broking and a Diploma in Project Management, Bachelors.
Thomay Gatis
Super Specialist
Having worked in the superannuation industry for over 22 years, Thomay is consistently guided by a strong ‘member’s best interest first’ principle. Thomay holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is the Chair of Women in Super (SA), as well as a member of the Mother’s Day Classic Organising Committee.
Thomay held relationship manager roles at SuperPartners and Local Super before joining NGS in 2013. She finds great reward in helping members to understand their opportunities and to achieve their personal and financial goals.
Elaine Santos

Elaine started at NGS Super in 2000 and has over 19 years of experience in the superannuation industry. Initially employed with Independent Schools Superannuation Trust (ISST), Elaine has a number of qualifications including an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services in Superannuation and a Diploma of Financial Services in Financial Planning.
Elaine fosters a strong commitment to improving the superannuation outcomes for members and employers. She maintains a passion for making a true difference to the lives and retirement lifestyles of our members.
Sophie Harris

Sophie is a Super Specialist who works with members, schools and staff to keep them well-informed and supported on all aspects of Superannuation.
With over eight years of experience in the sector, Sophie is passionate about breaking down complex ideas so everyone can understand and maximise their super savings. She is also passionate about the education sector and inspiring the next generation.
Sophie holds a BA (Hons) History/Social Ethics and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
Greg Noble

As a Super Specialist, Greg brings over 30 years of experience in Financial Services. He has worked across multiple financial services organisations, assisting customers in achieving their financial goals. Greg welcomes all opportunities to remove any uncertainties surrounding superannuation by providing an accessible, efficient, and ‘member first’ experience. He is eager to answer any questions about super and help members and employers prepare for their big tomorrow.

Brett Hawkins

Brett joined NGS as a Super Specialist in 2024. With over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry, including over 7 years leading teams, and 17 years as a comprehensive Financial Planner, he has a proven ability to engage with individuals and groups to meet their financial needs. Brett is driven by the desire to improve employer and members outcomes and believes in collaboration, providing quality advice and helping others continually improve their financial literacy.
Brett holds a Diploma of Financial Planning and is RG146 compliant.
Steven Brown

Steven brings 25 years of experience in the superannuation and financial services sector. He excels in building and nurturing long-term client relationships and offering tailored solutions that align with clients' needs. He specialises in client growth, retention and member engagement.
Steven’s in-depth knowledge of industry trends and regulatory landscapes, combined with his dedication to exceptional service, has consistently helped drive value and trust for the members and employers he works with.
Steven holds an accreditation PS-164 Financial Services – Super & Investments, RG146 Retirement Income Streams, a Diploma of Financial Services and a Diploma of Superannuation Management – ASFA 100.
Liz Brunetto

As a Customer Service Manager, Liz partners with employers to showcase the value of superannuation, enabling them to empower their staff to achieve financial wellbeing and plan confidently for retirement. With over 25 years of experience in superannuation, she has a deep understanding of the priorities and challenges of employers. Liz is passionate about working with others to set achievable goals that empower individuals to achieve long-term financial security and success.
Liz has a Diploma in Financial Planning (RG146 certified) and a Masters in Organisational Leadership from Melbourne Business School.
