The NGS Defensive investment option is relatively conservative, with a high weighting towards defensive assets like cash, fixed interest, defensive alternative funds and direct property. A small weighting to assets like shares and infrastructure provides the opportunity for some capital growth.

It may suit you if you're looking for relatively stable short-term returns, knowing that long-term returns are likely to be lower. This may work for you if you have a short investment time horizon.
