Minimum and maximum amounts

 

What is it?

The Government prescribes the minimum amount that can be drawndown from a pension.

How it works

As at 1 July 2010, the following minimum amounts will apply:

Your age as at 1 July Standard minimum drawdown %
55-64 4
65-74 5
75-79 6
80-84 7
85-89 9
90-94 11
95+ 14

If you have a transition to retirement pension you have a maximum amount of 10% that you can drawdown over any given financial year.

How to do it

You can change your pension payments by completing a Request to Vary Your Pension Payment form.
