What is it?

  • There are different types of super funds.
  • An industry fund like NGS Super is run only to profit members.
  • Apart from basic running costs, all the profits go to you.
  • We also keep fees low and to a minimum.

How it works

To open an account, you don’t pay any fee. Check the charts below for other costs. They are super-competitive!

This fee applies to lump sum withdrawals. It does not apply to transfers back to your NGS Super account or to regular pension payments.

The fee to close your investment.

Management costs
Administration fee
The fees and costs for managing your account.
A flat fee of $65.00p.a. administration fee.

Plus

A percentage fee ranging from 0.14% p.a. for the Cash option to 0.95% p.a. for the Green Shares option.
The flat fee is deducted from a member's account on a weekly basis ($1.25 per week).
Investment management fee
The amount you pay for specific investment options is shown in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
The percentage based fee is deducted from investment earnings prior to the unit price for that investment option being determined. It is not charged directly to member accounts.
Asset-based fee
The fee for Fund expenses that cannot be met from the administration or investment fees.
0.10% p.a. of assets, capped at $500 p.p. for eligible members**. The asset-based fee is deducted before the unit price is determined. It is therefore reflected in the Unit Price.
Service fees
Investment switching fee
The fee for changing investment options.
Members are entitled to one free investment change each financial year. Any additional investment change will cost $30. Deducted from account balance at the time of the switch.
Family Law fees
Application for information
(in the format specified under the Family Law Act)
Members: $100
Non-members: $110
Payable to the Trustee by the person making the request for information at the time a request is made.
Splitting a benefit $100 This fee will be deducted from a member's account at the time of the split.
Flagging a benefit None Not applicable.

*No adviser remuneration fee applies.

**During the first quarter of each financial year, an asset-based fee value is determined for you, based on your total benefit details as at the previous 30 June. If you are a member of NGS Super at the time NGS Super completes this assessment, your total assessed fee will be capped at a maximum of $500. If eligible, NGS Super will then credit your account with an asset-based fee rebate in the form of additional units to ensure that your assessed fee is not more than the maximum. The rebate will be pro-rata for the period from 1 April to 30 June 2011.
